Do You Deserve Your Weekend? – 4 Ways To Have A Productive Week

Ever heard of the phrase:

“A week of productivity brings a weekend of serenity”

You’re probably racking your brain right now and googling to see if the phrase exists. I will save you the time and tell you right now – the phrase does not exist. Why? Because I just thought of it 💡

As some of you know, I quit my job last year and am starting a business with my husband. In addition to that, I have also become a full time blogger. Juggling the two can be overwhelming if I don’t plan ahead. And in order for me to have some peace of mind during the weekend, I need to be extremely productive during the week. If I am not, then I don’t really deserve the weekend. At least that’s how I see it.

In order to have a well-deserved weekend, I work my 🙊 off during the week.

FOCUS ON ONE TASK AT A TIME

To multitask, or not to multitask? That is the question. I used to believe that bouncing from one task to another was making me more efficient. But what I didn’t realize then is that multitasking was lowering my quality of work. Not multitasking can be difficult to stop since there is always so much to do and not enough time to do it. One thing you can do is prioritize your tasks in advance. Also, instead of constantly bouncing from one task to another, dedicate a time of the day for each task. That way you won’t lose your sanity trying to do everything at once.

REFLECT + PLAN AHEAD

I spend Friday nights reflecting on the things I have done during the week and plan what needs to be done the following week. That way I don’t stress over it during the weekend.

START EARLY

I may not have a boss who I report to on daily basis, but that does not mean that I wake up whenever I want. I start my day at 8 AM and finish at around 7 PM. Next month when I become an official boss, I will wake up much MUCH earlier. Because what you do in the morning sets the tone for your entire day. So learn to be an early riser and take care of personal issues before starting your work day.

DON’T GET COMFORTABLE

Don’t coast and stay content with your progress. There is always room for more. Your goal should be to grow.

AND DON’T FORGET …
